Windrose Secures $60M Electric Truck Order From U.S. Firm Nevoya

BEIJING (July 28, 2025) — Chinese electric truck manufacturer Windrose has signed a deal to supply several hundred battery-powered heavy-duty trucks to U.S.-based logistics company Nevoya, marking its largest order in the United States to date.

The agreement, valued at more than 430 million yuan (approximately $60 million), calls for initial deliveries by the end of 2025, with full deployment expected in 2026.

To support the rollout, Windrose has shipped its first batch of knock-down kits to the U.S. The company used its own electric trucks to complete the logistics process between warehouses and ports in both Shanghai and Los Angeles, achieving what it called a fully zero-emission transport loop.

Nevoya, based in California, operates in partnership with global logistics provider C.H. Robinson and positions itself as a zero-emissions freight platform. It focuses on providing electric transportation services to Fortune 500 clients aiming to reduce their carbon footprints.

The first 50 Windrose trucks delivered to Nevoya will feature batteries exceeding 700 kilowatt-hours, operate on an 800-volt platform, and support CCS1 dual-gun fast charging. The trucks are slated for deployment on major freight corridors, including:

Interstate 10, which runs east-west from Los Angeles to Jacksonville, Florida;

Interstate 5, along the West Coast from California to Washington; and

Interstate 45, a critical route between Dallas and Houston.

Charging infrastructure provider Terawatt will support Windrose’s vehicles along the I-10 corridor with fast-charging solutions. The move aligns with the efforts of the I-10 Corridor Electrification Coalition, launched by the Smart Freight Centre in San Francisco, which C.H. Robinson joined earlier this year.

Windrose has also made progress on regulatory and operational readiness in the U.S. In 2025, the company secured three major certifications: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) vehicle certification in January; California Air Resources Board (CARB) certification for its LFP and NCM battery systems in April; and full CARB vehicle certification in May.

For after-sales support, Windrose has partnered with FleetNet America, a subsidiary of Cox Automotive. The network will provide service and maintenance through more than 65,000 locations nationwide.
