SANY Showcases Jiangshan SE636 Electric Truck at BICES 2025
From September 23 to 26, the 17th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery Exhibition (BICES 2025) took place in Beijing. SANY unveiled several new models at the show, with the Jiangshan SE636 electric tractor and the Jiangshan 600 kWh flat-roof tractor standing out as the main highlights. Launched in June this year, the SE636 drew significant attention thanks to its 500 km driving range.

The SE636 is equipped with a 636 kWh battery pack mounted on both sides of the chassis. This layout frees up cabin space, lowers the center of gravity, and improves both stability and safety.
On a single charge, the truck can travel up to 500 km. The battery is designed for reliability, offering high power, long cycle life, and strong performance across a wide temperature range. With an 800V high-voltage system and 1000A fast-charging capability, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes. An intelligent energy management system keeps consumption as low as 1.1 kWh per km, reducing energy costs by about 50% compared to diesel models.

The SE636 is powered by dual motors delivering a combined 640 kW (870 hp). It can handle continuous climbs of up to 15% and maximum gradients of 28%. Paired with a lightweight aluminum automatic transmission and column-mounted shifter, the truck is both lighter and easier to operate. With strong torque output, it performs especially well under heavy loads at low speeds.
Built with a reinforced chassis and heavy-duty axles, the SE636 has a curb weight of just 10.6 tons thanks to lightweight engineering. It can pull 17.4 tons with a two-axle trailer and 22.4 tons with a three-axle trailer. Its 2700 mm turning radius makes it suitable even for large front-suspension trucks.
For safety, the truck comes equipped with adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane keeping assist (LKA), lane centering control (LCC), forward collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning (LDW), driver fatigue monitoring (DMS), and a 360° camera system. Together, these features ease driver workload and enhance long-haul safety.
The 4×2 SE636 on display features a sleek, aerodynamic design with a large curved windshield to reduce drag. Alongside traditional mirrors, it also comes with electronic mirrors for broader visibility and lower air resistance.
Its exterior continues the clean, modern styling of the Jiangshan 3.0 electric series, with split headlights that provide better illumination and safer nighttime driving.
Inside, the cabin is built to passenger car standards. It includes air suspension seats, an ergonomic wraparound console, power windows, and a multifunction steering wheel. A flat floor allows drivers to stand comfortably inside, while ample storage space adds convenience.
The wide windshield and side windows ensure excellent visibility. The central screen is placed close to the driver for easier access. The cabin also features a wide sleeper bed, large drawers, and a rear window that brings in natural light and gives drivers a view of their cargo—or the night sky—during rest breaks.
The SANY Jiangshan SE636 is purpose-built for long-haul express transport. With its large battery, powerful dual-motor setup, advanced safety features, and driver-friendly cabin, it delivers both efficiency and comfort. Positioned as a smart, cost-effective solution, the SE636 is set to become one of SANY’s flagship products in the new energy heavy truck market.
