FOTON Galaxy Trucks Debut in Colombia, Advancing Logistics Across the Americas
FOTON recently launched its high-end heavy-duty trucks, Galaxy and Galaxus 9, at the Cartagena Auto Show in Colombia, marking their official entry into the Americas. The launch highlights the company’s focus on using advanced technology to tackle challenging road conditions and improve regional freight transport.
The Galaxus 9 made its Americas debut at the event. Built for hilly and winding roads, it comes equipped with a comprehensive smart driving system, including 10 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 1 lidar, and a high-performance computing controller. With more than 28 intelligent driving features—such as Highway Pilot (HWP), adaptive cruise, lane obstacle avoidance, automatic overtaking, and safe parking—it helps reduce driver workload and enhances safety and efficiency on long-haul routes.
Its smart cabin offers over 800 infotainment functions, 400 connected services, and 500 information security features, creating a comfortable and connected environment. This helps fleet managers operate more efficiently and makes every trip easier and more productive.
The Galaxy model focuses on long-haul efficiency. Its low-drag design cuts fuel consumption by 4%, while its powerful engine with high torque meets the demands of heavy loads and varied road conditions. Integrated development and system calibration ensure smooth performance on long climbs and highways. The cabin features a 1010mm-wide sleeper and a 330AH battery to support driver rest and onboard equipment. With smart driving and vehicle connectivity technologies, Galaxy delivers a reliable, economical, and comfortable transport solution.
This launch demonstrates FOTON’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Americas. The trucks will soon roll out in Mexico, Chile, and other markets. By leveraging advanced technology, FOTON aims to boost logistics efficiency, reduce operating costs, and build a smarter, more sustainable transport network. With its strong products and technology, FOTON is helping customers across the Americas move goods more safely, efficiently, and intelligently.
