Forland Launches 18-Ton Truck in Morocco, Expanding Presence in North Africa
In early April, Forland’s overseas division launched a new 18-ton truck in Casablanca, marking a further step in the company’s expansion across North Africa. The launch event was held at the BAMY TRUCKS MAROC FORLAND dealership, where the first unit was also delivered to a local customer.
The event was attended by representatives from government bodies, transport associations, logistics companies, dealers and media, reflecting growing local interest in commercial vehicle development.

The new model has been developed specifically for the North African market, with a focus on payload capacity, power performance and fuel efficiency, according to the company. It is also designed for ease of operation to meet the needs of regional logistics operators.
Forland said it has secured an initial order of 24 units, with assembly currently underway. Deliveries are expected to be completed in the near term.
The company is also implementing local assembly and testing in Morocco, a move aimed at reducing delivery times and improving operational efficiency. The localization effort is expected to support job creation and contribute to the development of the local automotive supply chain.
Adil BADD EZZAMAN, Brand Director of Forland’s local distributor, said the launch reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the Moroccan market and its broader global strategy.

A representative of the Moroccan transport association welcomed the introduction of the new model, saying it could support the development of the country’s logistics sector.
During the event, company representatives handed over the first vehicle to a local customer. The buyer cited reliability, cost efficiency and local service support as key factors behind the purchase decision.
Participants also took part in a test drive session following the ceremony, where the vehicle’s performance and handling were evaluated.

Forland said it plans to use Morocco as a base to expand further into North Africa, as part of its broader international growth strategy. The company added that it will continue to enhance its product offerings and service capabilities in overseas markets.
