Foton Expands Presence in Peru With Launch of TUNLAND V Pickup
Foton Peru, together with its local dealer partners, recently introduced the new TUNLAND V pickup truck to the Peruvian market, marking another step in the company’s expansion strategy in Latin America. The launch event brought together key fleet customers, financial institutions, and more than 50 media outlets, highlighting growing market interest in Foton’s passenger and commercial vehicle business in Peru.

Having operated in Peru for several years, Foton has continued to strengthen its localized market strategy through close cooperation with local partners. As demand grows for practical, durable, and competitively priced vehicles, the company has steadily expanded both its product portfolio and market reach across the country.
Designed to balance off-road capability, cargo performance, and everyday driving comfort, the TUNLAND V is positioned to serve a variety of use cases, including urban commuting, industrial operations, and commercial transportation. The new model has already attracted significant attention following its market debut, providing fresh momentum for the brand’s growth in Peru.

Alongside the TUNLAND V, Foton Peru has also accelerated the rollout of additional models, including the VIEW and VIEW GRAND, further diversifying its local lineup. The expanded portfolio now covers multiple customer segments ranging from family mobility and business transportation to outdoor and leisure applications.
The company said its expanding dealer network, localized after-sales support, and increasingly refined market operations have contributed to strong market performance. From January to April 2026, Foton’s retail sales in Peru increased 104% year-on-year, reflecting rising brand recognition and growing consumer confidence in its products.
As competition in Peru’s automotive sector intensifies, Foton said it will continue strengthening its customer-focused strategy by enhancing sales and service capabilities, expanding channel coverage, and increasing brand investment in the market. The company aims to further improve the visibility and competitiveness of its passenger vehicle business in Peru through a broader product offering and enhanced customer support.
