XCMG Scores 200+ Orders for Electric Dump Truck at Indonesia Coal & Energy Expo
XCMG attracted strong market attention at the 2026 Indonesia International Coal and Energy Industry Expo, where the company showcased its 352 kWh 8×4 battery-swappable electric dump truck and secured more than 200 intention orders during the event. The model quickly emerged as a popular solution for Indonesia’s mining transportation sector.
Indonesia’s mining operations often face harsh working conditions, including muddy roads, steep slopes, sharp turns, and high-intensity workloads. Designed specifically for demanding mining environments, XCMG’s electric dump truck combines durability, safety, and operational efficiency.

“The truck is strongly built and highly economical. It brings clear operational benefits to our mining business,” a local mining customer said during the exhibition.
The vehicle features a triple-layer reinforced frame, split-type balanced suspension, and multi-leaf spring system to improve stability and load-bearing capacity. A high-power electric motor delivers strong torque for heavy-duty transportation tasks. The truck’s electric drive system is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, while the motor and electronic control systems support IP6K9K high-pressure washing standards, helping ensure reliable performance in severe operating conditions.

To improve driver safety, the truck is equipped with a reinforced cage-type cab and collision protection technology.
As mining transportation requires continuous operation and rapid turnaround times, XCMG has integrated both fast-charging and battery-swapping capabilities into the vehicle to reduce downtime and improve operational flexibility in areas with limited charging infrastructure.
The truck also uses XCMG’s in-house developed Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) system, which optimizes torque distribution and improves overall energy efficiency by 5%. In addition, its multi-stage regenerative braking technology recovers energy during downhill driving, helping maximize battery utilization and reduce operating costs.

To support Indonesia’s evolving mining market, XCMG has developed a full range of mining transportation products, including tractor trucks and dump trucks for different applications. The vehicles offer climbing capability of up to 50% and are designed for ore transportation, overburden hauling, coal delivery, heavy-load uphill transport, and short-distance in-pit operations.
As Indonesia accelerates its transition toward low-carbon mining operations, XCMG is working with industry partners to build an integrated “vehicle-battery-charging station” ecosystem. The company aims to provide customers with complete green transportation solutions and support the transformation of local mining logistics.
Moving forward, XCMG will continue expanding its zero-carbon transportation portfolio and strengthening cooperation with global customers to promote safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mining transportation solutions worldwide.
