Chery Commercial Vehicles Showcases Rural Transport Solutions at SIAM 2026
Chery Commercial Vehicles showcased its latest rural transport solutions at the 2026 Morocco International Agricultural Exhibition (SIAM), presenting the Karry Youjin gasoline-powered mini truck and microvan as it continues to expand its presence in North Africa.
Held annually since 2006, SIAM is one of Africa's largest agricultural exhibitions, attracting farmers, agribusinesses, distributors, and trade professionals from across North and West Africa, as well as Europe and Asia. The event provides manufacturers with a platform to demonstrate products designed for the region's agricultural and rural transport sectors.
At this year's exhibition, Chery Commercial Vehicles focused on vehicles developed for farm transportation and last-mile logistics, targeting the needs of farmers, small businesses, and rural transport operators.
The Karry Youjin mini truck and microvan feature a high-strength chassis and reinforced rear leaf spring suspension designed to operate on rough rural roads while carrying heavy loads. Their large cargo capacity supports the transportation of agricultural supplies and harvested crops, while the gasoline powertrain is designed to accommodate varying fuel quality and maintenance conditions across African markets, helping reduce operating and maintenance costs.

The exhibition also reflects Chery Commercial Vehicles' broader international expansion strategy. In recent years, the company has extended its footprint across Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa.
In Africa, Chery Commercial Vehicles has expanded beyond vehicle exports by developing CKD operations and local assembly capabilities. The company said participating in SIAM provides an opportunity to engage directly with customers and distribution partners, gain a better understanding of local transportation requirements, and support future product development and market expansion.
Looking ahead, Chery Commercial Vehicles said it will continue strengthening its presence in Africa by expanding its portfolio of commercial vehicles for agricultural transport, logistics, and public mobility while enhancing localized products and services to meet the evolving needs of the region.
