Heavy truck sale shrinked in Jul.

In July 2008, China heavy duty truck (including non-complete vehicles) production volume was 20,042 units and sales volume was 18,380 units, 28.54% and 26.72% down respectively compared with same period of last year. Heavy duty truck production volume and sales volume shrink for the first time y-o-y since Mar. 2007.

2008 is a year when China commercial vehicle industry especially heavy truck industry experiences dramatic adjustments. As a major production material, heavy duty truck industry could be impacted by macro economy greatly and it has a deep connection with social fixed assets investment.

The market is pessimistic about the following half year. Various unfavorable factors probably will lead to a temporary recession in the industry.
