Shandong Heavy Industry Chairman Man Shengan Visits Vietnam
From April 21 to 23, Man Shengan, the Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, visited Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. His visit aimed to assess the local market expansion, meet strategic partners and key customers, and attend several cooperation signing events. This trip was part of efforts to further optimize the market layout, strengthen brand development, and expand overseas growth. Zhang Gengsheng, a committee member and vice president of the group, also joined the trip.

On April 21, Man Shengan first visited Weichai Vietnam, where he met with frontline employees and chaired a meeting to review the development of the market in Vietnam, with updates from Weichai Group, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC), and Shantui.
Man Shengan emphasized that Vietnam is a strategic and potential market for Shandong Heavy Industry and crucial for the company's international growth. The group’s performance in Vietnam has seen significant growth, with export revenue increasing by 79% in 2024, and a 36% increase in Q1 of this year. Both CNHTC heavy-duty trucks and Weichai engines have become market leaders in Vietnam, earning strong brand recognition.

Man Shengan urged the company to seize the opportunity and strengthen its investments in Vietnam. He emphasized the need to accelerate product and manufacturing adaptation to meet local market demands and create competitive advantages. He also called for deeper strategic cooperation, recruitment of more local talent, and the continued support of overseas employees to ensure the company achieves its objectives.
In the afternoon, Man Shengan visited Weichai’s customer, Rox Group, in Hanoi and attended the delivery ceremony of the WPG2250B7 high-power generator set. The collaboration provides backup power for a mixed-use residential and commercial project. Weichai’s high-power generator products are experiencing rapid growth in Vietnam, being applied in high-end buildings, industrial parks, and data centers, providing strong support for Vietnam’s infrastructure development.

On April 23, Man Shengan visited Ho Chi Minh City to meet with strategic partner Changhai Group. He held in-depth discussions with Changhai’s Chairman Chen Boyang about their ongoing cooperation. Changhai Group, one of Vietnam's leading automotive companies, uses Weichai’s engines, transmissions, and other powertrain products in its vehicles. Man Shengan expressed hope to further expand the cooperation with Changhai Group, promoting more Shandong Heavy Industry products in Vietnam. Chen Boyang highlighted how Weichai’s powertrain systems have given Changhai a competitive edge in the Vietnamese market and expressed a commitment to deepen the cooperation.
On the morning of April 22, Man Shengan visited Vietnam’s largest channel partner of CNHTC, Yueji Group. He witnessed the signing of a localized light truck cooperation project between CNHTC and Yueji Group, aiming to further expand light truck cooperation and support Vietnam’s green and low-carbon development.

In the afternoon of April 22, Man Shengan visited the construction site of the Wenna Group in Hanoi and attended the signing ceremony of new projects and order deliveries with CNHTC and Shantui. Wenna Group is one of Vietnam's largest private conglomerates, providing construction design and services. Man Shengan said that Shandong Heavy Industry would continue to partner with Wenna Group to provide integrated transportation and construction solutions, delivering greater value to customers.
Additionally, Man Shengan also met with the Chinese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Wei Huaxiang. Senior executives from Weichai Group, CNHTC, and Shantui participated in the events.
