Ford will introduce a new model with speed limits

According to the news form Xinhua Agency, the spokesman of U.S. Ford Motor Company recently disclosed that Ford will introduce a new model with some new add-on features. This feature will allow parents to set a maximum speed for their children.

The new features will be first applies in Focus small car in 2000. And many 2010 version model cars and trucks will have this additional function in the following summer. These models include Ford, Lincoln, and revision Mercury brand.

Jim Buckovski, in charge of Ford electronic and electrical engineering, said that the new speed limit function take advantage of existing technology. In addition to the speed limit, “my key" can also limit the volume of the sound system and seat belts. If your seatbelt has loosened, it will warn you six seconds per minutes. Buckovski said that it has same features for adult drivers but the ring goes away after five minutes.

The market research shows that 75% parents welcomed the function of restrictions on the volume and speed; however, 67% young people do not like this feature.
