Dozens of heavy duty trucks stuck at Russia-China border
(chinatrucks.com, Jan.19, 2010)Dozens of heavy duty trucks have lined up awaiting an opportunity to cross the Russia-China border in the Primorski /Maritime/ territory, a source at the local branch of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB)border control department said.
The Chinese side has increased the time for checking trucks arriving in China.
"Earlier, the Chinese side spent 20 minutes per truck. From January 11 they have increased the interval to 40 to 85 minutes,"said the source.
A coordination council of the border crossing station has discussed measures to settle the situation. Every possible step is being taken to solve the problem at an earliest possible date.
