Indian plant of Allison has been completed
(chinatrucks.com, June 3, 2010) Allison Transmission have hold the inauguration ceremony of new plant, Allison Transmission India Pvt Ltd., on May 14, 2010 at India.
It is established at State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu, Sipcot, and the total area is 28 acres. The new plant will hire 300 staff after it has put into production.
Allison Transmission will produce auto transmission components in Indian new plant, and new plant will procure forging and other raw material in India. It is predicted that full load operation will be realized in next two years.
On the other hand, new plant will produce gear of Allison 3000 and 4000 series. This Indian plant will on behalf of the principal company and establish dealer network to support the principal company to provide transmission for global completely vehicle plants.
