"New" Delphi Leads in Asia-Pacific Markets
www.chinatrucks.com: Delphi is getting stronger and more competitive after bankruptcy protection and recombination, and their performance were rather good in Europe and America as well as in Asia-Pacific markets. Their cash flow amounted to four billion USD without debts. And Delphi also received more than thirty awards by truck industry in China.
Majdi Abulaban, president of Delphi in Asia-Pacific, stated that Delphi reduced their business scales to focus on more competitive products, and their technologies are mainly about environmental protection, green and communications. Delphi was awarded “the best supplier” by many China complete vehicle manufacturers, and they are rather confident on the sales in Asia-Pacific region, which takes one third if their sales in the world.
In terms of R&D, a low-cost intelligent parking system was successfully developed by Delphi China, as well as many new products on high-tension bus-bar and electrical system used on hybrid vehicles. Currently Delphi has introduced their products to about twenty-two countries and regions in this area.
