Daimler to Build CV Engine Plant in Beijing

www.chinatrucks.com: CV manufacturer Daimler will invest RMB 1 billion Yuan jointly with Foton Company to build a new engine plant in Beijing mainly for the production of engines.
The plant will be build in the first half of 2013 in Huairou District and completed in 2014, when OM457 diesel engines will be produced for AUMAN trucks, with annual productivity of 45 thousand engines.
At the beginning of the operation, 40% of the spare parts will be produced in China and raised to over 65% in the future.
