40,000 Heavy Trucks Sold in Feb. Down 48.8%
www.chinatrucks.com: Due to the Spring Festival influence, in Feb. 2013, China truck industry sales volumes decreased a lot. According to the commercial vehicles companies released data, it is known that in Feb. in the heavy truck industry, it is estimated to sell 40,000 units, which decreased by about 48.8 percent over the same period of 2012, which were 78,119 units.

Among them, in Feb. Sinoturck also influenced a lot, which sold nearly 9,000 units of trucks. Though it is in the No. 1 place, it decreased by 40 percent of the year-on-year growth. Besides, Dongfeng Auto and FAW respectively sold 7,000 units and 5,800 units, which decreased by 53.5 percent and 62.7 percent respectively. Foton and Shaanxi Auto respectively sold 5,500 units and 5,000 units, which both decreased by nearly 46 percent.Besides, BeiBen sold 750 units,decreased by 78.5 percent; JAC 1,800 units, down 25.5 percent and Hongyan 1,611 units,down 2.4 percent.
In Jan.-Feb. 2013, the total sales were 83,000 units, which decreased by 28.6 percent over Jan.-Feb. 2012 (116,000 units). Sinotruck was in NO.1 place with about 17,800 units being sold, down 26.1 percent. Dongfeng Auto (16,400 units,down 33.4% ) and Foton (11,300 units,down 13.7% ) were in NO.2 and NO.3 places.
