CAMC: Sales of Heavy Duty Truck Rebounds

www.chinatrucks.com ：Sales of heavy truck rebounds in the second quarter of 2013. In last year, sales have been slumping ever since April. Sales volume of every month between April and October of 2012 lingers between 500,000 and 600,000. but, backed by the reviving economy, sales of heavy truck is increasing. 30% of increase is expected for the second half of the year.

The sales of CAMC is better than the average of the industry in 2013. the company sold 15069 units in 2012, a drop of 41.4%, while the industry glided 27% . the smaller companies saw sales dropped even further, such as Beiben and SAIC IVECO Hongyan. CAMC sold 8357 units in the first four months of the year, a increase of 39.7%, much better than the industry. The company expects to sell 22000 units in 2013, a increase of 46%.

The company suffered 58.2% of sales drop in 2012 in the area of special purpose vehicles. The main reasons behind it lie in the preservative measures the company adopted besides the negative influence of the economic downturn. While, the company expects the sales of special purpose vehicles increases even better than that of heavy duty trucks.

The manufacturing capacity has been increased from 10000 units to 30000 units. And the highest capacity could reach 90000. the capacity could be sufficient for the next 3to five years.

We are optimistic about the future of CAMC. Although the company falls under the third echelon, CAMC aims to top the industry in the near future. And with a well structured company management team, we are certain they could fulfill the aim.
