Daimler and Tsinghua Jointly Set up Research Center
www.chinatrucks.com : On June 25th, 2013, Daimler signed agreement with Tsinghua University in an effort to jointly set up a sustainable communication research center. The center will take advantage of Daimler’s rich experience and the R&D capability of Tsinghua, to carry out in-depth researches into vehicle safety in China. The action shows Daimler’s attention and commitment to developing business in China.
Operating vice president of Greater China, Daimler said when interviewed that by cooperating with top academic institute in the country, we could better optimize our products to suit needs in China.

As we learned, the research center will be located in Tsinghua, with Daimler inputting 3 million RMB each year to support subjects related to safety system, traffic accident analysis, comprehensive communication service and etc.
Academicians of Tsinghua, together with research fellows of Daimler will fully make use of the strength of the two sides to carry out researches. And, the center will serve as a platform to train students of Tsinghua.

Vice principal of Tsinghua said that the university is happy to cooperate with Daimler in setting up this research center, which will not only train students but also make contributions to the development of communication studies in China.
