China Heavy Trucks Explores Overseas Markets
www.chinatrucks.com: China heavy trucks are popular in overseas markets for their competitive prices but the exports markets are getting worse. Lacking core technology supports, China heavy trucks cannot enter European and American etc high end markets, and many China truck makers are lowing their price to make very bad competition so that the market is in chaos.
CAMC president Liu Hanru said that there are two risks facing China heavy trucks in overseas markets, one is that RMB exchange rate are increasing too fast and the second is that China heavy trucks are competing in bad order to affect China commercial vehicles images.
Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles GM Huang Gang said that it is a long term vision to forge Dongfeng as a global brand and they need to develop gradually and they have entered some rising markets and some developing countries, including Southeast Asia and Middle East, and their following key markets includes building area marketing centers in South America etc areas, and they prefer producing the vehicles locally.
Sinotruk president Ma Chunji has visited Africa with national leaders recently and they have signed cooperation agreement with Nigeria Dangote Group and the two parts will invest 100 million US dollars to build Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Commercial Vehicle Company to produce trucks in 2015, and they will assemble Sinotruk trucks in Africa and the annual output will amount to 5000 units and the base will cover West Africa as planned.
FAW has built assemble plants in Pakistan, South Africa, Russia and Iran and they have exported trucks to Southeast Asia, Middle East, Latin America, Africa and East Europe etc 62 countries and regions and they have 319 dealers totally.
Shacman Import and Export Company deputy GM Liang Zhen said that they are building plants in overseas market apart from expanding trucks exports all these years and their trucks can be seen on more than 80 countries in Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, East Europe and South America.
