Development of Methyl Alcohol Fuel Auto in China
www.chinatrucks.com: When speaking of new energy vehicle in commercial vehicle industry, we may think of pure electric auto and we may omit Methyl Alcohol Auto which is of great market potentials. And the lower prices for Methyl Alcohol Auto etc. clean energy auto are focused as the fuel price is rising and development of electric vehicles is rather slow.
It is learned that central government has started test Methyl Alcohol Auto in Shanxi, Zhejiang and Shaanxi provinces and the operation is rather good. And Methyl Alcohol fuel is used among 22 provinces in China, which lays the road for further development of Methyl Alcohol Auto. In addition, auto makers are developing Methyl Alcohol Auto, and Shaanxi Auto and Sinotruk have started develop and test run diesel and Methyl Alcohol Auto hybrid heavy trucks.
"Shaanxi Auto diesel and Methyl Alcohol hybrid heavy trucks have been successfully tested in Tianjin Test Center and the product has got announcement and the vehicle can run in both diesel and Methyl Alcohol fuel and we can make sure similar power and emission as diesel fuel trucks and the burning efficiency can be improved and up to 15% costs can be saved for 100 km on average, " said staff from Shaanxi Auto.
