Sales of Heavy Trucks up in March
www.chinatrucks.com: 67699 heavy trucks were sold in March this year, up 145.72% over last month and down 30.27% over last year, and the accumulated sales this year decreased by 33.66% over last year. And the top three truck makers are Dongfeng, Sinotruk and FAW on sales. And the sales if heavy trucks decreased by 30% in the first quarter over last year.

The series decreasing price for the diesel fuel gave more confidence for the customers and this affected the sales in the first quarter this year.
The peak sales season comes in March after the slack sales in January and February which is affected by the China traditional Spring Festival, and many major truck makers are starting sales promotion activities after the Spring Festival.
And major truck makers are dispatching more trucks with national 4 emissions standard to local markets. For example, FAW Jiefang J6 navigator are available in Suihua, Linyi, Xuzhou and Fuyang etc cities, and over 200-300 trucks are ordered on the site. And FAW Jiefang J6 are starting sales promotions, and nearly 100 trucks are ordered.
Although the sales are decreasing in the first for China major truck makers, and we can see that sales of highway logistics trucks are sold more than engineering trucks from the sales data of the top three trucks makers.
Many industrial insiders are confident the sales in the second quarter although the sales in the first quarter are not so good. And they believe the sales will be promoted by the national 4 emission standards, the new projects after NPC&CPPCC and the pricing adjustment of natural gas.
