SAIC Hongyan and Cummins Jointly Rolls Out a New Genlyon Truck for Customers
On September 3, Cummins Large Horsepower Engine R&D Center officially started operation in Chongqing. On the same day, SAIC Hongyan Genlyon trucks equipped with Cummins X13 engines were delivered to their customers. According to sources, it is the very first time for SAIC Hongyan and Cummins to join hands and develop trucks together.
With another power solution available for customers, Genlyon truck equipped with Cummins X13 engine has a displacement volume of 12.9 L and is able to deliver 560 horsepower and a maximum torque of 2,600 N.m. Thanks to MFS+ISOPOD and a number of other advanced technologies, Cummins X13 engine is able to further improve its energy efficiency and durability. By optimzing its iBrake, the truck reaches more agility on slopes.
