CHINA(chinatrucks): On August 28, Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicles Group announced that its FARIZON Hometruck will be put on the market in small quantities starting from the end of 2023. Two power chains will be available for Hometruck: methanol extended-range electric drive axle and multi-motor central electric drive with a range of up to 1000km.

The Homtruck comes standard with the world's first i-MPS multi-motor flexible torque central electric drive chain developed by Geely for new energy commercial vehicles. It enables the vehicle to operate under 16 different working scenarios.
“Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group will focus on new energy heavy-duty trucks and aims to sell 50,000 battery-swapping (extended range and battery swapping) heavy-duty trucks and 50,000 methanol powered heavy-duty trucks by 2026.” said Fan Xianjun, the group's chief executive officer.
Geely says that it will build a multi-dimensional ecosystem covering the fields of energy, transportation, low-carbon manufacturing and finance with its existing green and intelligent new generation commercial vehicles. The company will also provide customers with comprehensive solutions across the entire chain by combining the industry chain and keeping exploring innovation in business models.
