DeepWay Rolls Off Its B Sample Truck
JIANGSU(chinatrucks): On September 2, DeepWay, a Baidu-backed company, rolled off its B sample truck, a smart new energy heavy-duty truck in the city of Yancheng, Jiangsu province.

The rolling of B sample truck marks that the most critical parts of vehicle and parts manufacturing have been completed, which will push ahead with the development of C sample truck and future mass production.
Wan Jun said that according to DeepWay's R&D plan, the company is scheduled to start small batch trial deliveries at the end of 2022 and enter mass production in June 2023. By the end of 2023, Deepway plans to put about 1,000 smart new energy heavy trucks into the market.
DeepWay, a company focused on the development and manufacturing of smart new energy heavy-duty trucks, is a joint venture company created by Baidu and Lionbridge in 2020 to offer intelligent driving solutions for the truck freight market.
