FAWDE’s Super Plant in Changchun Commences Production
On Dec 27, FAWDE held a launching ceremony for its Changchun super plant, which all marks the rollout of its upgraded lightweight 440 axle in G Power Domain. This is another super factory officially launched by Faw Jiefang after its first Super Plant located in Wuxi.

With an investment of 989 million yuan ($139 million), the facility will cover 72,000 square meters and is planned to have an annual production capacity of 320,000 sets of drive axles.
The facility is using various energy-saving, environmental protection, and energy management technologies to ensure sustainable and environment-friendly manufacturing.
The plant has realized intelligent manufacturing at level 3 and even level 4 in certain area. This enables seamless human-machine-object connectivity and intelligent decision-making upgrades. The production line ranks first in total efficiency among the industry, making production more automated and logistics more efficient.
In addition, the new generation of lightweight 440 drive axle produced by Changchun Super plant boasts a maximum transmission efficiency of 99 percent, a comprehensive efficiency of 98.11 percent and a B10 life of 2 million kilometers; It will only need an oil change at 800,000-kilometer intervals, and is more than 101 kilograms lighter in weight than products in its class.
