ZF Receives Approval for Level 4 Autonomous Driving Test in Shanghai, China
ZF China has been granted permission to conduct Level 4 autonomous driving tests on Shanghai roads. The company is the first foreign supplier to receive such a license.

With this license, ZF can conduct open-road testing of autonomous driving in designated urban areas within the city of Shanghai.
In response to the high technical requirements of L4 autonomous driving technology, ZF has developed its own autonomous driving capabilities covering perception, positioning, artificial intelligence, data, decision-making and control. The autonomous driving system integrates ZF's cutting-edge technologies for autonomous driving and chassis, incorporating various algorithms based on 4D millimetre-wave radar, BEV Transformer's vision + 4D millimetre-wave fusion technology, a comprehensive automated annotation toolchain and cubiX® vehicle control algorithms.
