ZF, Farizon Sign Cooperation Agreement on New Energy Commercial Vehicles
On June 27th, ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions, a division of ZF Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Farizon Auto, a subsidiary of Geely Group specializing in new energy commercial vehicles. The collaboration aims to leverage their respective expertise to jointly develop globally competitive pure electric and methanol-hydrogen fuel cell technology products.
In recent years, driven by the promotion of green, low-carbon, and efficient energy utilization, the heavy-duty truck market has accelerated its adoption of new energy solutions. Farizon Auto focuses on defining vehicles for specific scenarios and has made significant progress in overcoming operational limitations through technological advancements. The company's new energy heavy-duty trucks have demonstrated economic, practical, and reliable performance across various applications.
Farizon Auto is committed to the "methanol-hydrogen + electric" technology route, developing a full-stack methanol-hydrogen electric power system. This approach combines the advantages of pure electric heavy-duty trucks and methanol-hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks, offering outstanding driving experience and cost-effectiveness. Over the past six months, Farizon Auto has successfully delivered batches of methanol-hydrogen electric heavy-duty trucks in multiple regions, significantly enhancing production efficiency in the logistics industry.
ZF's strategic collaboration with Farizon Auto will focus on online control architecture, chassis technology, and transmission technology. As a strategic supplier of Farizon's automotive power systems, intelligent driving systems, and core chassis components, ZF will integrate its advanced systems and solutions into Farizon's new Xinghan H heavy-duty truck platform. This cooperation is expected to further enhance the competitiveness of Farizon's new energy commercial vehicle product line, create greater value for customers, and drive industry innovation.
