Best of the Best: ConMet Honored with DTNA Awards for 2023 Performance
ConMet, a leading global manufacturer of innovative commercial vehicle solutions, proudly announces that it has been selected as one of the elite suppliers to achieve the prestigious Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) Masters of Quality awards for 2023 performance. All ConMet plants in North America that manufacture DTNA components were recognized.
The annual Masters of Quality program recognizes outstanding suppliers who have demonstrated excellence in quality, delivery, technology, and cost performance. These awards are based on a balanced scorecard system that measures each supplier’s performance across these critical areas. Suppliers who receive this accolade have shown an unwavering commitment to the continuous improvement of their products, dedicated support to DTNA, and exceptional overall performance.
Monroe, North Carolina: Best of the Best
ConMet’s wheel end manufacturing facility in Monroe, North Carolina, has been honored with this award for the 34th time in a row, a testament to the plant’s consistent excellence. Additionally, the Monroe facility has also been distinguished as the “Best of the Best” winner, a new category introduced this year that recognizes this ConMet plant for exceeding expectations and going the extra mile throughout the year.
Canton, North Carolina
The plastics facility in Canton, North Carolina, has been awarded the Masters of Quality for the second time, reflecting its outstanding contributions and commitment to quality.
Monterrey, Mexico – Wheel Ends and Castings
ConMet’s wheel ends and castings facility in Monterrey, Mexico, has received the award for the 20th consecutive time, highlighting the facility’s consistent dedication to quality and excellence.
Monterrey, Mexico – Plastics
The plastics facility in Monterrey, Mexico, has been honored for the fourth time, underscoring the exceptional performance and commitment of ConMet’s Plastics team in Mexico.
Altogether, ConMet’s facilities have received 60 Masters of Quality awards from DTNA, a milestone that neatly coincides with ConMet’s 60th anniversary, marking a significant achievement in the company’s history.
“We are incredibly honored to be recognized once again by Daimler Truck North America with the Masters of Quality awards,” said Ramesh Ramanathan, Chief Operating Officer of ConMet North American operations. “This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We are particularly proud of our Monroe facility for receiving this recognition for 34 consecutive years and being named the ‘Best of the Best’ this year. As we advance our mission of driving progress in the commercial vehicle industry, we look forward to continuing our strong partnership with DTNA.”
DTNA expressed deep appreciation for ConMet’s outstanding performance during 2023, highlighting not only the compliance with DTNA standards but also the company’s relentless pursuit of continuous improvement before, during, and after production.
The award ceremony took place on June 24 at DTNA corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon, in conjunction with the 5th Supplier Dialogue event.
