ConMet Debuts Innovative Wheel-End Solutions at Japan Auto Engineering Expo
YOKOHAMA, Japan (chinatrucks.org) — ConMet, a global supplier of commercial vehicle wheel-end systems and structural plastic components, showcased its PreSet Plus® wheel-end solutions at the Automotive Engineering Exposition in Yokohama from May 21 to 23.
The company, exhibiting in Japan for the first time, participated alongside Amsted Automotive. ConMet presented its PreSet Plus® system, designed for both disc and drum brake applications, which is widely adopted by original equipment manufacturers globally.
The PreSet Plus® solution is engineered to reduce maintenance needs, improve safety and extend product life. It features optimized components and an integrated spindle nut design, with precision spacers that help maintain proper bearing adjustment and minimize the risk of loosening under demanding operating conditions.
“Bringing PreSet Plus® to JSAE marks an important step in our efforts to grow in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Xu Xiaowei, vice president of sales for ConMet China. “We’re pleased to introduce this technology to the Japanese market and explore new opportunities for collaboration.”
ConMet’s participation in the exposition reflects its broader strategy to expand its global footprint and support vehicle manufacturers with innovative, efficiency-focused technologies. The company said it remains committed to advancing solutions that promote safety, operational reliability and sustainability in commercial transportation.
