Chinese Commercial Vehicles with Isringhausen Seats Serve at Paris Olympics 2024
In late July 2024, all eyes was on Paris as the city is hosting the 33rd Summer Olympics. With 10,500 athletes competing in 329 events and over 15 million visitors expected, the scale of the event is unprecedented.
To ensure smooth operations, the organizers have deployed 900 special Olympic buses and 4,000 drivers, providing 24/7 service. In addition, city tour buses and public transport will handle heavy traffic loads.
Among these vehicles are not only traditional European brands like Mercedes-Benz and Iveco, but also many Chinese brands such as Yutong, BYD, CRRC Electric, Suzhou Golden Dragon, and Ankai. Most of these vehicles use eco-friendly energy and are equipped with Isringhausen seats, offering drivers a comfortable and safe driving experience. This widespread use highlights the recognition of Isringhausen seats in the European market.
Isringhausen, a German company with over 100 years of history, is a leader in commercial vehicle seats worldwide. Known for its research and innovation, Isringhausen has become a top player in the industry.
In the heavy-duty truck and bus sectors, Isringhausen is considered a “hidden champion.” The company has long-term partnerships with major global commercial vehicle brands like Daimler, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, MAN, and also with Chinese brands such as FAW Jiefang, Dongfeng, and Sinotruk. With 53 factories in 21 countries and over 4 million seats produced annually, Isringhausen’s strong market presence and excellent reputation make it the top choice for many vehicle manufacturers and drivers.
Since establishing its joint venture in China, Isringhausen Huatai, in 2005, the company has been a key partner for Chinese heavy-duty truck manufacturers, driving the high-end development of truck and bus seats in China. The Isringhausen NTS series, launched in 2017, has quickly gained market share and is widely used in high-end models like FAW J6P, Dongfeng D760, and Shacman X6000, with nearly 800,000 units in use across China.

For example, Yutong’s electric buses operating in Paris are equipped with Isringhausen Huatai’s NTS series seats. Moreover, Yutong’s high-end electric buses for export to Norway in 2024 will feature the latest NTS2 series seats. These high-end features enhance the image of Chinese brands and demonstrate Isringhausen Huatai’s role in leading the high-end trend in Chinese commercial vehicle seats.
The 2024 Paris Olympics, as a top global sports event, gathers the world’s best athletes. Europe, as the birthplace of the automotive industry, sets the benchmark for vehicle comfort and luxury. Only brands that have stood the test of time and reputation can shine here. We look forward to seeing Chinese commercial vehicle brands on a higher stage and Isringhausen Huatai will continue to improve product design and quality to support the development of China’s commercial vehicle industry.
