Chery Commercial Vehicles Launches New Heavy Truck Platform
On December 31, 2024, Chery Commercial Vehicles hosted its 2025 Partner Conference in Wuhu under the theme "Together with Chery, Creating a New Future." At the event, Chery Holding Group announced plans to integrate resources fully and advance its commercial vehicle segment, aiming to build a second "Chery" success story in the industry.

As a key player in Chery's heavy truck business, C&C made its debut as part of the group, showcasing Chery's strong commitment to the heavy truck market. A highlight of the event was the unveiling of Chery's new heavy truck platform, which features advanced technologies and all-scenario solutions designed to set a new benchmark in the industry.
Embracing Opportunities in the New Energy Revolution
With China's rapid growth in the new energy vehicle market, opportunities in commercial vehicles have expanded significantly. By 2024, new energy passenger vehicle penetration surpassed 50%, while heavy truck electrification reached 12%. These trends mark the arrival of the third energy revolution in commercial vehicles.
"These are challenging yet exciting times," said Zhu Hong, General Manager of C&C Trucks. "With technological advancements and industry transformation, C&C Trucks is ready to embrace the new energy revolution." He added that 2025 will be a turning point, as the company leverages new products and technologies to achieve rapid growth.
Breakthrough Technologies Redefining the Industry
Chery's new heavy truck platform was designed to address key pain points in the logistics industry. It offers upgrades in exterior design, interiors, and powertrain while achieving breakthroughs in lightweight design, energy efficiency, and electric innovation.
For short- and medium-distance transport, the platform introduces tailored solutions for pure electric and extended-range vehicles, covering applications such as urban delivery, port logistics, and short-haul transport. It also meets the diverse needs of standard, combined, and heavy loads.
To tackle challenges with charging and range, the platform introduces two industry-first technologies:
High-Power AC Charging: Reduces charging station costs by 90% and supports mobile and reverse charging, eliminating regional charging limitations.
Large-Battery Small-Range Extender: Boosts driving range up to 600 km, addressing range anxiety for heavy truck users.
The platform also supports CNG and traditional fuel models, equipped with a world-class powertrain featuring Cummins engines and Eaton transmissions, along with Chery's proprietary VCU. This setup reduces energy consumption by 11% and helps drivers save up to 50,000 RMB annually.

Looking Ahead
The new platform will target diverse applications, including urban delivery, long-haul freight, hazardous materials transport, and express logistics. With cutting-edge technology and customized solutions, Chery Commercial Vehicles is poised to lead the industry into a new era of affordable, high-quality heavy trucks.
