Foton Aumark aim at Japan light truck market
To speed up the expansion of the Japanese market, Foton announced that a wholly-owned 2.4644 million yuan to buy 100% shares of Japanese Foton Automobile Co., Ltd on July 29.
It is reported that Japan Foton set up in September 2004, a wholly owned subsidiary of Beijing Foton Environmental Engine Company Limited. While Foton is the largest shareholder in Beijing Foton Environmental Engine Company Limited, with a total share capital of 18.72%. Upon completion of this acquisition, Japan Foton will become a wholly-owned subsidiary by Beijing Foton Company.
Beside this, the expansion of Europe and United States market has become an important oversea strategy on the present stage. For the Japanese market, Foton has plans to export a number of Aumark light truck with Cummins Engine.
