FORLAND Enters Libya with New Product Launch
FORLAND has entered the Libyan market with a new product launch in Tripoli, marking another step in the Chinese commercial vehicle maker’s expansion into North Africa. Held in August 2026, the event brought together nearly 200 local customers, dealers, industry partners and media representatives, as FORLAND began building a local sales and service network with its Libyan partner.

The event was attended by the president of Libyan Islamic Bank, local dealer chairman Dawadi, Sun Chaoshan, deputy general manager of overseas business at FORLAND, as well as local business customers, dealers, industry partners and media representatives.
Building a Local Presence
FORLAND’s move into Libya goes beyond vehicle exports. The company plans to work with its local partner to develop a broader local operation covering research and development, manufacturing, sales, logistics and after-sales services.
Libya has high temperatures throughout the year, while many areas face desert conditions, sand and dust, and difficult road conditions. These conditions require commercial vehicles to offer high levels of reliability and durability.
REMAN, general manager of the local dealer’s brand business, said Libyan customers are looking for transport vehicles that are durable, reliable and easy to maintain.

She said FORLAND has years of experience in commercial vehicles and already serves customers in more than 150 countries. The two sides plan to further develop local capabilities in research and development, logistics and after-sales services to better meet the needs of customers in Libya.

Products Adapted to Local Conditions
Sun Chaoshan, deputy general manager of overseas business at FORLAND, said Libya is an important market for the company’s expansion in North Africa.
FORLAND will continue to adapt and improve its products based on local market conditions. At the same time, the company plans to provide a broader range of solutions covering research and development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales services.
By working more closely with local partners, FORLAND aims to address customer needs throughout the vehicle’s operating life and provide more convenient local support.
More Than 20 Vehicles Delivered
The launch event attracted strong interest from local customers. Several companies and individual customers expressed purchase interest and signed orders at the event.
More than 20 vehicles were delivered during the event.
FORLAND plans to strengthen cooperation with its local partner and explore the possibility of assembling vehicles locally in Libya. The company will also accelerate the development of local sales and service networks.
In addition, FORLAND plans to provide 24-hour parts support, giving customers faster access to spare parts and maintenance services.
The company expects these measures to improve local customer support and provide a stronger foundation for its long-term development in Libya.

Expanding Across North Africa
FORLAND’s entry into Libya is part of its wider overseas expansion.
The company plans to continue working with local partners in international markets and bring its commercial vehicles and services to more countries. At the same time, it will continue to strengthen its capabilities in research and development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales services.
For FORLAND, the Libya launch is not simply about selling vehicles. It is also about building a local business and service network that can support customers over the long term.
As it expands across North Africa and other overseas markets, FORLAND aims to strengthen its position in the global commercial vehicle market and build a larger international customer base.
