SAIC MAXUS Leads China's Pickup Exports in September with 13,581 Units
SAIC MAXUS delivered 13,581 pickups to overseas markets in September, ranking first among Chinese pickup brands in monthly exports. This means that one in every three pickups exported from China came from SAIC MAXUS.

After nine years of overseas expansion, SAIC MAXUS pickups have reached more than 100 countries and regions, serving over 400,000 customers worldwide. The company has built a presence in major markets across Australia, Europe and the Americas, while expanding into emerging markets in Asia and Africa. It has now moved from leading China's high-end pickup exports to ranking first in total pickup exports.

Growth Across Major Global Markets
Pickup markets in the Americas, Europe and Australia have traditionally been dominated by established Japanese and American brands. SAIC MAXUS has expanded its presence in these markets with products developed to meet local requirements and international standards.

In Chile, a key pickup market in South America, SAIC MAXUS ranked first among Chinese pickup brands in September. Its sales in the country reached 3,585 units from January to September, placing it fifth in the overall pickup market.

In Europe, SAIC MAXUS has introduced both combustion-engine and all-electric pickups. The company began expanding into the European electric pickup market in 2022, when it introduced the first Chinese-brand electric pickup in the region, setting several milestones for Chinese automakers.
At this year's IAA Transportation show in Hanover, the new STAR X L and 2027 eTerron 9 made their European debuts. The eTerron 9 is the world's first all-electric pickup to receive a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.
In Australia, SAIC MAXUS continues to expand its pickup business. In September, sales of the Terron 9 increased by 195.1% year on year, while sales from January to September rose by 376.4%. The T60 also recorded year-on-year growth of 68.9%.

SAIC MAXUS pickups have ranked first among Chinese pickup brands in Australia for three consecutive years.
The company's products have also received recognition from international industry organizations. This year, the eTerron 9 won the UK's "2026 Electric Pickup of the Year" award, while the T60 MAX was named "4x4 of the Year" in Spain.
Global Safety Standards and Local Market Adaptation
SAIC MAXUS attributes its export growth to years of investment in product development, safety and international market expansion.
The company was the first Chinese independent automaker to introduce an automatic-transmission pickup. In 2017, its T60 became the first Chinese pickup to receive a five-star ANCAP safety rating. This was followed by the eTerron 9, which received a five-star Euro NCAP rating, becoming the world's first all-electric pickup to achieve this result. The STAR X later received five-star ratings from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP.
SAIC MAXUS develops its pickups to meet international regulations, including European ECE standards and Australia's ADR requirements. Other models, including the T70, STAR X L and STAR X R, are also designed to meet five-star safety standards.

The company also offers pickups for different uses, including commercial transport, off-road driving and new energy applications. It adapts its products to local road conditions, climate and customer needs rather than using the same approach in every market.
In the Americas, its pickups are developed for different driving conditions and transport needs. In Europe, the company introduced all-electric pickups early to enter the electric vehicle market. In Australia and New Zealand, it continues to compete with established brands while exploring opportunities in the electric pickup segment.
Overseas Exports Continue to Grow
From January to September, SAIC MAXUS exported more than 110,000 vehicles, up 53% year on year. In September, the company ranked first in China in both pickup and light commercial vehicle exports.
Looking ahead, SAIC MAXUS plans to continue investing in technology and product development, expand its pickup lineup and strengthen its presence in overseas markets.
