Weichai Power Targets 15% Growth Rate in 2009

Weichai Power's Annual Operation Meeting 2009 was recently held in Beijing. After a review of the company's performance in 2008, it pledges to ensure a yearly growth rate of 15% in this year.

Addressing the guests attended the meeting, TAN Xuguang, President of Weichai Power pointed out that the company will continue to roll out its comprehensive budget plan and carry out lean management from top to bottom so as to ensure its cost competitiveness.  

According to the company's 2008-2009 operation report, the auto part giant registered an annual turnover of RMB 49.1 billion (about USD 7.19 billion) in the last fiscal year, up by 19.8% year on year. In the mean time, its export value totaled USD 785 million, up by 66.5% year on year.

In the new fiscal year, Weichai sets its target on a 15% growth rate for its turnover and will focus on such important tasks as corporate culture construction, information-based construction, HR reinforcement and comprehensive budget management.
