Weichai Achieves New Breakthrough in Brazil
Weichai has completed the delivery of a batch of heavy-duty trucks powered by its WP15NG natural gas engine to a customer in Brazil, marking another step forward in the company's expansion in South America's largest commercial vehicle market.
The customer, a leading Brazilian paper manufacturer, operates transport routes linking forests, production facilities and ports. Its fleet regularly faces challenging operating conditions, including muddy roads, winding routes and steep gradients, while maintaining high utilization rates and heavy payloads throughout the year.
To meet these requirements, the company selected trucks equipped with Weichai's WP15NG natural gas engine.
Designed for demanding heavy-duty applications, the WP15NG provides strong power output and torque reserves for long-haul and heavy-load transport operations. The powertrain also offers a B10 life of up to 1.8 million kilometers, supporting reliable performance under intensive operating conditions.

In addition, optimized combustion technology and advanced electronic control systems help reduce gas consumption, enabling fleet operators to lower fuel costs and improve overall operating efficiency.
The order reflects Weichai's growing presence in the Brazilian market. In recent years, the company has continued to expand its customer base in the country, supported by the performance, reliability and fuel efficiency of its engine products.
According to Weichai, its Brazil team worked closely with the customer throughout the vehicle selection process, providing technical support and demonstrating the engine's capabilities for the customer's specific transport requirements.

Alongside product performance, localized after-sales support played an important role in the project.
Weichai currently operates a global service network covering more than 150 countries and regions, supported by over 8,000 service stations and more than 20,000 service engineers worldwide. The network provides round-the-clock technical and service support for customers across international markets.
In Brazil, the company has established a localized service system through its local subsidiary, including authorized service stations, local technical teams, parts warehouses and spare parts distribution channels. The network enables response times of within two hours and ensures the timely availability of replacement parts.
For this project, Weichai is also providing first-maintenance services for the newly delivered vehicles and has arranged service support along the customer's major transport routes to help maximize vehicle uptime.
As demand for efficient and lower-emission transport solutions continues to grow across South America, Weichai is further strengthening its presence in the region through a combination of product performance, localized services and long-term customer support.
