LE exhibits electric truck with JAC in Shanghai
Light Engineering (LE), an innovative technology company in the motor and power generation marketplace, exhibited an electric truck in association with JAC Motors at the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show, which concluded on April 28.
JAC and LE jointly displayed a commercially-ready electric truck that is equipped with a JAC HFC 1040 chassis and a LE electrical motor drive system. The electric truck is commercially ready and immediately drivable.
JAC Motors and LE have formed a partnership which enables LE motor technology be used exclusively in JAC EV and HEV platforms henceforth. This will be extremely beneficial to both parties, as JAC will be able to use LE’s patented motor technology to advance their production plans for EV and HEV. In turn, LE will be able to have their technology at use in a major vehicle manufacturer that will dramatically highlight the marketability of their unique, highly efficient rotating-machine technology.
JAC Motors is one of the biggest and most dominant automakers in China, with 6.1 billion RMB in total assets and over 9,000 employees. It is one of the top 500 business enterprises in China, and is particularly devoted to producing vehicles that are environmentally and socially responsible.
