Weichai adjust sales structure of engine
(chinatrucks.com, March 26, 2010) Sales revenue of Weichai could be divided into three parts: engine sales revenue takes 1/3 of the total revenue, heavy truck 1/3, and transmission 1/3. At the same time, engine profit occupies 70% of the total profit, and transmission profit takes 20%, and heavy truck 5%. The previous 10L, 12L, shall be covered the full series engine, including 2L,3L,5L,7L,10L,12L by strategy adjustment of the company.
WP5 and WP7 are to be applied on city buses and diggers after cylinder expanding on the basis of previous 6105 type engine, and the sales volume are predicted to increase in 2010.
Italian VM engine will be introduced in Weichai by tech agreement. VM engine with 2.5L and 2.8L will be used for production in Yangchai. 2L to 3 L will be used for light truck, light bus, agriculture mechanism, and export business.
