Weichai to establish Shaanxi auto manufacture base
(chinatrucks.com, April 9, 2010) Weichai is to invest another five hundred million euros to heavy truck manufacture base in Shaanxi, and auto critical parts＆components manufacture base, especially to Shaanxi and Fastre transmission.
Weichai group held the strategy publish in Xi’an on April 7, 2010. Weichai announced the collaboration plan with Shaanxi government at the publish meeting. Weichai Group is one of the strongest auto and appliance manufacture enterprises, and the key enterprise under Weichai includes Weifang heavy engine, Shaanxi heavy truck, Fastre transmission, etc. It has wholly-owned subsidiaries in America, France, Singapore, and Hongkong.
Weichai group has set the sales goal during “ten two five” period. Sales volume for heavy truck is two hundred and fifty thousand and heavy transmission is one million. At the same time, Weichai is going to develop the advantage of industry chain, and coordinate the engineering development capability to promote the supporting suppliers. Weichai is to greatly develop the above mentioned items and establish the advanced manufacturing industry colony.
