(chinatrucks.com, May 12, 2010) Weichai power and Foton have signed the cooperative agreement in Changsha on May 10, 2010. Both parties will further cooperate at supply chain innovation, resources allocation, market exploration, and market service establishment, etc.
Medium and heavy trucks have been very competitive. Completely vehicle enterprise and core parts and components enterprise shall hand in hand together to further develop instead of simple allocation relations. Cooperation and alliance have become the effective way to enable CV enterprise and parts ＆ components enterprise realize win-win situation.
Weichai power and Foton think that it is necessary for both parties to further the cooperation relations, and realize fully compensate and share of bilateral resources by auto industry chain resources integration. The cooperation also could reduce the cost and raise both parties competition and realize win-win situation.
Foton Changsha Auto plant will accelerate the speed to march in medium and heavy truck area in 2010, and realize the conversion from advantageous business to monopoly business. Production and sales volume of auto is 120,000, including sales volume 20,000 of heavy trucks, and oversea sales volume 20,000. Sales revenue is 700 million euros.
