Navistar Speeded Cooperation with JAC
www.chinatrucks.com: Cooperation between JAC and Navistar has been signed in September last year, but National Development and Reform Commission has not approved the agreement yet, and China heavy truck markets are cooling from surging sales last year. And Rudi von Meister was named as president of Navistar China.
Navistar has made clear develop strategies and time table in China, and approval by related competent departments is the most urgent problems right now. Senior management of Navistar has met with leaders of National Development and Reform Commission. And it is the first priority for Rudi von Meister to know requirement of China government’s on the cooperation and get the project to be ratified as soon as possible.
Navistar will cooperate with JAC to introduce MaxxForce engines later; and NC2 Global will make joint venture with JAC on complete vehicles.
