JAC: The First Batch of X5000 Pure Electric Light Trucks Rolls off Production Line

www.chinatrucks.com: On October 12, 2012, the assembly of driving cabinet and chassis for the first batch of 8 X5000 electric light trucks was completed, which means that electric sanitation trucks of JAC light trucks officially entered the modification of JAC Fuzhen. In 2012, JAC focuses on the R&D of key products and take opportunities to continuously seek for breakthroughs in the electric commercial vehicle market.
Compared with regular products of JAC, the most impressive technical breakthrough that X5000 has made is the cancel of engine and suspension device. X5000 is the first model to fully employ electricity as driving power among domestic commercial vehicles. Devices for air suction, discharge, gas supply, speeding and cooling are not required for X5000, which immensely reduced the total weight of underpan and simplified the assemble process. The load rating of rear axle was raised from 4,000kg to 4,500kg. To compare with regular gas powered assembly of vehicles, simplification was realized on the assembly process of JAC light electric vehicles.
It is said that the first batch of 40 electric light trucks will be handled to the clients in November.
