Huairou-Made Auman Heavy Trucks Serve 56 Countries

www.chinatrucks.com: The second Auman production plant of Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive (BFDA), the joint venture between Daimler and Beiqi Foton Motor, is one of the busy assembly lines in the world. Every day, there are over 100 units of heavy trucks manufactured and off production lines at the Huairou Plant in Beijing. 17 units of them will be through customhouse and exported to 56 countries. According to the data, Huairou made heavy trucks’ sales account for nearly 9 percent of the total export volumes of China heavy truck.

By the end of 2012, 6057 units of Auman heavy trucks have been exported to foreign countries, such as Algeria, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Colombia, and Chile etc. 56 countries. It has set up 72 sales networks in the 56 countries.

BFDA enables us to build on the synergies between Foton and Daimler in marketing and technology, which combined with new production facilities, will greatly strengthen the position of the Auman brand in the Chinese truck market.

In 2012, Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive (BFDA), a joint venture wasset up at the Huairou plant in Beijing. Its main products are Auman GTL, Auman TX, Auman VT series products.

Along with the construction of a second Auman truck production site, the joint venture will also take care of establishing the production of the OM 457 engine at the BFDA headquarters . The OM 457 engine, which has been successfully used in Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in Europe and Latin America, will be introduced in compliance with the coming Chinese emissions standard China IV (comparable to Euro IV).It is estimated to finish the construction in 2014 and put into production with the annual capacity of 45,000 sets per year.
