Yuchai Wins Second Prize of State S&T Progress
www.chinatrucks.com: The Central Committee of CPC and the State Council held 2012 State S&T Awarding Ceremony in the Great Hall of the People on January 18th, 2013. Among two State Highest S&T Awards, 41 State Natural Science Awards, 77 Technological Invention Awards and 212 S&T Progress Awards, Yuchai Group won Second Prize of State S&T Progress. Chief Engineer of Yuchai Group Shen, Jie accepted the prize on behalf of the Group.
As China's largest internal combustion engine production base, Yuchai Group started the project of "Energy-efficient Diesel Key Technologies and Industrialization", including light and high-strength structure design, high-effective cylinder combustion technology, precise electronic high-pressure fuel injection technology and clean emission control technology.
From 2005, engines with these technological fruits were used in the market for over 100 bus models. Currently, Yuchai key technologies in energy-saving and environmental protection have narrowed down the gaps with foreign technologies.
