Foton Starglory Power (Xinghui) Brand Launch
On October 28, 2024, Foton officially launched its Starglory Power (Xinghui) brand at the Foton Automotive X Lab in Beijing.
This new power brand is a collaboration between Foton and Yuchai, highlighting their deep partnership in the commercial vehicle sector. Foton is the first Chinese commercial vehicle company to exceed 10 million units in production and sales, while Yuchai is the first specialized power system supplier to achieve over 10 million engines sold.

Highlights of the New Power Brand
Foton Starglory Power (Xinghui) leverages the extensive data resources from both companies to offer tailored power solutions for specific market needs. Their product range includes both diesel and gas engines, covering a complete series of power products.
The collaboration between Foton and Yuchai began in 2002 and has expanded over the years from buses to medium and heavy trucks. As they entered the National VI emission phase, their partnership strengthened across traditional power, new energy, and overseas markets. Currently, nearly 600,000 Yuchai engines are installed in Foton vehicles.
In response to industry changes, Foton and Yuchai upgraded their cooperation in 2021, moving beyond simple supply to jointly develop customized power platforms for commercial vehicles. This culminated in the official launch of the Foton Starglory Power (Xinghui) brand.
Power Solutions Tailored to User Needs
Foton Starglory Power (Xinghui) understands the demands of Chinese truck users, offering high horsepower, long lifespan, and efficient power products. Their diesel engines range from 8 to 15 liters, with power from 360 to 700 horsepower and torque between 1500 and 3200 Nm. The gas engines offer power from 320 to 610 horsepower and torque from 1100 to 2700 Nm.
At the launch, the main diesel and gas engines of the Starglory Power (Xinghui) family were showcased, demonstrating the joint customization by Foton and Yuchai.
For example, the YCK12L diesel engine has a displacement of 11.8 liters, with power ranging from 470 to 520 horsepower and a maximum torque of 2400 Nm. It features quick acceleration and climbing ability, with a fuel consumption as low as 172 g/kWh and a B10 lifespan exceeding 1.8 million kilometers, meeting the fourth stage fuel consumption standards.

The YCK15N natural gas engine has a displacement of 14.8 liters, making it the largest gas engine on the market, with a power output of 540 to 570 horsepower and a maximum torque of 2600 Nm, ensuring high efficiency and reliability for long-distance driving.

Data-Driven Customization
The strength of Foton Starglory Power (Xinghui) comes from data support. Over five years, Foton tracked the operations of 600 users with 600 vehicles, creating 256 scenario data sets for vehicle performance development and verification. Yuchai has a comprehensive engine verification protocol, and both companies share data to optimize engine adaptability for different markets.
The Yuchai engines used in Foton Starshine Power (Xinghui) not only comply with fourth stage fuel consumption standards but have also been customized to enhance both power and economy. This includes refining displacement and injectors for improved fuel efficiency and performance in specific scenarios.
To ensure an excellent user experience, Foton Starshine Power (Xinghui) has invested in over 300 test vehicles, accumulating more than 22 million kilometers of validation. This rigorous testing has led to a bespoke power system that meets the demands of the new logistics era. Furthermore, Yuchai’s extensive service network, paired with a quick response framework, guarantees that users can operate their vehicles without any worries.
