New Factory of Weichai Yaxing will be in Use in 2013
www.chinatrucks.com :As the reporter learned, the new factory of Weichai Yaxing will be put into use in early July this year, which will be used for the manufacturing of special purpose vehicles and commercial vehicles. After the factory is completely finished, it will be able to manufacture 20000 buses plus 50000 special purpose vehicles annually, realizing a sales revenue of more than ¥5 billion.
The workshops for special purpose vehicles and commercial vehicles are already in place, with a covered area of 60,000 square meters for each of them. Also, the workshops are equipped with whole sets of manufacturing facilities. The power is expected to be ready at the end of June, which means, both workshops will be poised for utilization by the early July.
Although constructed late than the special purpose vehicle workshop, the commercial vehicle workshop will also be ready by July. The manufacturing facilities has already been installed in May.
Workshop with the biggest covering area is the bus workshop, which will be ready later than the former mentioned two workshops. The bus workshop is consisted of four major parts, namely the welding, general assembly, painting and chassis. The construction will finish by the end of June, and installation of all facilities will follow.
The first vehicle to be produced in the new factory is the wide mining vehicle, which is co-developed by Yangzhou Shengda and Weichai. The vehicle is 9 meters long, 3.4 meters wide, the biggest among all peers. After receiving a new order of 200 units of the mining vehicle, Weichai Yaxing is eager to finish the construction of new factory as soon as possible, so as to carry out the manufacturing. Also, more than ten of commercial vehicles have been produced for all the tests, and are believed to be put into mass production soon.
