Weichai: Sales of NG Engine Hit High
www.chinatrucks.com: Chinese manufacturing leader Weichai Group announces that more than 20,000 units of Wechai NG engine are sold, hitting a historical high.
In responding to the state’s call on energy saving and emission reduction, Chinese combustion engine manufacturers pour into the NG engine market. In the first half year of 2013, the sale of NG engine grows by 43.72%, much higher than the average rate of combustion engine industry.

President of Weichai Group Tan Xuguang once stresses that the combustion engine on one hand consumes a lot of energy, and on the other hand has great potential to realize energy saving and emission reduction. In responding to the state’s calling on construction a resource-saving society, Weichai Group persists in independent scientific research and develop environmental friendly product.
In low-carbon and environmental friendly power research field, especially the technollgy and application of alternative fuel combustion engine, Weichai Group has been leading ahead.
In September 2011, the first direct injection NG engine was successfully set on fire. The product is jointly developed with Canadian Westport with distinctive superiority in power, environmental protection and economy.
In March 2012, China’s first direct injection NG engine was launched. The launching of the product breaks through the technical bottleneck of gas engine, filling in the gap in Chinese direct injection NG engine application. It is an important milestone in gas auto history.
In the first half year, Weichai sells over 20,000 units of direct injection combustion engines widely applied to long-distance buses, wide dumpers, heavy trucks and engineering vehicles.
