Weichai Power Showcases at Engine China 2013
www.chinatrucks.com: On September 9, 2013, the 12th International Exhibition on Internal Combustion Engine organized by China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association is hosted as scheduled. Weichai Power, a Chinese combustion engine leader, showcases at the exhibition.
At its grand and exquisite booth, Weichai Power brings 8 combustion engines which basically cover all global leading power products, demonstrating Weichai’s internationalization and pursuit of clean power. Among the eight products, three are natural gas engines.
In September 2011, the first direct injection NG engine was successfully ignited. The product is jointly developed with Canadian Westport with distinctive superiority in power, environmental protection and economy. In March 2012, China’s first direct injection NG engine was launched. The launching of the product breaks through the technical bottleneck of gas engine, filling in the gap in Chinese direct injection NG engine application. It is an important milestone in gas auto history. In the first half 2013, Weichai sells over 20,000 units of direct injection combustion engines widely applied to long-distance buses, wide dumpers, heavy trucks and engineering vehicles.

With strong R&D capacity, Weichai Power is no longer satisfied with R&D of China Ⅳ product, instead, it will focus on China Ⅴ and Ⅵ engines. Over recent years, relying on good quality and sweet service, Weichai Power holds firmly the Chinese market while gradually exploring overseas market, especially in Iran and Russia where it has a large amount of customers. It is believed that Weichai Power will become more influential in the combustion engine industry in future.
