Weichai: 15,000 Heavy Truck Engines Sold in the First Half Year

www.chinatrucks.com: On September 12, 2013, a salesperson of Weichai Power discloses that in the first half year, the sales of heavy trucks grow very fast and it sells around 15,000 units of heavy truck engines, up by 22.7% over last year and holding an absolute advantage in the industry.

On September 10, at Engine China 2013, one of salespersons of Weichai Power says Weichai sells more than 20,000 units of 10L-30L engines, rising a little bit over last year. Weichai’s pillar product—heavy truck engine remains to hold a solid position in heavy truck and loading machine market. The sales in these two end markets are subject to the situations of the two markets.

Weichai heavy truck engines are mainly equipped to products of Foton, Shacman, and FAW Qingdao etc. It takes up a market share as high as 38.5% in 14t and above heavy truck market.

In loading machine market, Weichai products mainly serve Shandong Lingong, Liugong and other mainstream loading machine manufacturers. In the first half year, 40,000 units of engines for 5t loading machines are sold, up by 5.9% over last year. Weichai holds up to 67% market share in the 5t loading machine market. Also, the company since 2010 has begun to supply engines for Strong Construction Machinery, Xugong Construction Machinery and Shantui Construction Machinery.

The salesperson believes that Weichai has no strong competitor in heavy truck engine market.
