JAC 2013 Net Profit Gets 917 Million
www.chinatrucks.com: In 2013, JAC sold 495,373 various types of vehicles and chassis, with an increase of 6.59 percent. Due to the optimization of product structure, the increase gross margin and other reasons, the company's profit growth is significantly higher than revenue growth, operating income growth higher than sales growth, its overall profitability significantly enhanced.
During the reporting period, the company's leading products continue to lead the market segments with Refine MPV annual sales reaching nearly 52,000, the highest sales of similar products; light truck sales topped 200,000, remaining the highest exports in 13 consecutive years; chassis sales hit 11-year high; heavy truck sales and revenue achieved double growth with its share in the market growing steadily, ranking sixth in the industry.
Company's second-generation passenger cars successfully entered the market and the scale of sale rapidly expanded, with the average monthly sales of Refine S5 reaching over 3,000. This year in January, the monthly sales topped nearly 5,000. The sales of Herui A30 reached nearly 8500 in two months after being put into the market.
2013 China's automobile sales topped 20 million. The development of China's automobile industry benefits JAC. However, recently JAC released its 2014 January sales, revealing that in January 52,100 are produces, 11.67 percent less than the same period last year, and 48,400 are sold, 3% less than the same period last year. Despite the overall decline, the "structural features" are obvious.
On the one hand, the company's SUV4 sold 4,945, with an increase of 96%; MPV sold 9,049, with an increase of 65.7%, which was also very gratifying. In the MPV segment, the company has a leading position, with its brand advantage growing more obvious. Overall, the sales revenue of SUV is still the main income for the company while MPV is expected to take over SUV's position and become the major product.

On the other hand, the electric automobile will become this year's highlight. The company said in its annual report that the annual sales of its fourth generation of pure electric vehicles were above 1,000, maintaining its leading position. The prototype of its fifth generation of pure electric vehicles was also completed. Insiders said that the JAC is not the first company to be involved in new energy vehicles in the automobile industry, but its development and promotion are the most effective.
With accumulated experience from four generations of its products, in the second half year of 2014, JAC will launch a new fifth-generation electric automobile, with two versions: one version will maintain the current battery capacity, with 200 kilometers per charge; the other version will add 4.5kwh to the battery capacity, with 250 km per charge.
JAC also expects in 2014 to sell 550,000 various types of vehicles and chassis, with 36.85 billion RMB cost and 38 billion RMB income.
