PROJEN Commercial Vehicle Team Pay Visits to Aged Soldiers
www.chinatrucks.com: On Oct. 21, PROJEN light-duty truck team left for Guizhou from Dali. Fully loaded with donations from Junma and people from all walks of life, the team is planning to pay homage to those senior WWII veterans who live in some remote and impoverished areas in Guizhou. After driving over 700 km, the team all comprised of Yijun light-duty trucks, arrived in Qinglong at 10:30 pm.

On the early morning of Oct. 22, the team paid a special visit to the memorial tomb yard where soldiers once fought bravely in the WWII were buried. Later, the team visited Liu Yaocai, who is 94 years old. During the anti-Japanese war, he was then a soldier. Before arriving at his home, the team passed a well-known road section which is famous for its 24 bends. The road once was an artery line for transporting important materials during WWII against Japanese invasion. To cross a hill with 260 meters above ground level, the road is snaking around the road with a distance of about four kilometers. After making continuous U-turn for 24 times, PROJEN commercial vehicle team finally arrived at Caizi Village, a remote area where people with Yi nationalities are the primary inhabitants.
In 1939, Liu Yaocai was only 18 years old and he was a guard in the army in Qinglong County. Later, he also fought bravely in Anshun in Guizhou, then Hubei and Anhui. As winter is approaching, PROJEN commercial vehicle team brought quilt, warm coats, rice and cooking oil to the soldier and wish him a warm and secured winter.
After visiting the aged soldier Liu Yaocai, PROJEN commercial vehicle continued its travel to other visit other battle grounds in Yunnan where many soldiers sacrificed their precious lives for the victory against Japanese invasion during WWII. Memorial tomb yards where soldiers were buried and some soldiers who survived the war and are still alive will be visited during this PROJEN trip.
